Jenna is a doctoral researcher at the University of Eastern Finland, in the Department of Social Sciences. She holds a master’s degree in social sciences with a focus on sociology. In her master’s thesis she studied media pieces concerning declining birthrate in Finland, analysing the discourses of precariousness and individualised anticipation of personal, national and global futures in the context of reproductive choices. Her interests include reproduction, neoliberal governance experienced in everyday life, human and post-human interrelatedness, qualitative methods and sociological and feminist theory.
